Duck Toller Puppies SOLD

The parents are our own Amber and Fergus, both fully health tested with excellent results.

Both parents are chilled out dogs, happy to have a potter around the garden – though they come alive when they see a tennis ball!

Amber’s hip score is 6, Fergus’s 8, both have elbow scores of 0 and clear eye tests done in May. Due to Amber and Fergus’s health clearances, pups cannot be affected for PRA-prcd, CEA/CH, DE, DM, MDR1, CP1, CDMC, CLAM, CLPS, CDDY and JADD.

The pups were born on the 5th of January, viewings start from the 9th of February and they’ll be ready for their new homes from the 1st of March. They’ll have a vet check, 1st vaccination and microchip before leaving, and be wormed at 3, 5 and 7 weeks old and they are already KC registered. Both parents can be seen when viewing.

At the time of writing they are almost 5 weeks old and full of life and vigor! They’re such playful, cheeky little bundles of fluff. We’ve started the very basics of toilet training – encouraging them to toilet on the newspaper and not on their bed. Getting them used to the idea of toileting in a certain area/ on a specific material teaches them to hold the urine/poo until they reach the toilet area, which makes them much easier to toilet train when they get to their new homes. They’ve been raised in a noisy area, where they’ve become very familiar to the sounds of dogs barking, vans/cars, washing machines/tumble dryers and very frequent comings and goings. They’ve now moved into our kitchen, where they’ll still hear these sounds but now also have more exposure to more household events like cooking and hoovering.

Amber and Fergus have had a litter before, out of which came Fizz and Polly, now over 2 years old.

Piper – Golden Retriever Puppies SOLD

Our gorgeous Golden Retriever Piper has whelped a litter of 10 puppies, 5 males and 5 females. The sire is our own Woody. Woody and Piper are fully health tested with fantastic results, they’re both clever, eager to please dogs and super affectionate.

The pups are being raised in our home for the first 5-6 weeks, where they will experience the typical household sounds, hoovering, cooking, washing machines, tv etc. Then they will transition to our office area, where they will continue to hear most of these sounds and additionally more vehicles, people, dogs and more noise and commotion.

Newborn

The pups grow rapidly over the first week of their lives. By the end of the week all of their pink pigmentation has changed to black and they’ve filled out and gained weight nicely. Their nails have been trimmed and they’ve had loads of cuddles. Piper is doing an excellent job caring for them, she’s a doting mother.

1 Week old

Pups spent all of this week eating well and sleeping lots, so by the end of the week they’d all gained a good amount of weight. They’ve been handled lots and have had their nails trimmed again. Frequently trimming and/or filing nails helps keep the quick short, making it easier to trim their nails.

2 Weeks old

This week their eyes and ears are beginning to open, and they’re starting to have do a very wobbly walk instead of dragging themselves around. At 2 and a half weeks they began to lap up some puppy milk.

The pups have already been Kennel Club registered, our theme for this litter is Christmas trees.

3 Weeks old

This week we began weaning the pups onto thoroughly soaked Millies Wolfheart kibble, mixed with Puppy Milk. It was a huge success! Over the course of the week we’ll increase the feedings to 4 times a day and phase out the puppy milk and give it to them separately for their evening supper. They’ll still feed off Piper for a while longer, but less and less as each day passes.

They’re beginning to have little play fights with each other and they’re becoming quite curious about new things appearing in the whelping box now.

They’ve also had their 1st course of wormer at the start of the week.

We’re thrilled with how this litter are turning out, they’re full of confidence and are very people focused, eager to please, affectionate and full of energy!

Gotcha day!

Today is the start of a great adventure with his new family for little Bean. We’ll miss seeing his cheeky face gazing up at us! We’ve dug up some old photos of his parents at his age, he definitely takes after his father.

10 weeks old

This cheeky chappy is now sleeping through the night in his crate without any mess or fuss. He’s mastered sit and the puppy dog eyes!

9 weeks old

Out for a little walk around the local fishing pit – he’s not had his 2nd jab so he can’t touch the floor, but he can still be carried around and take in the sights and smells. He saw many ducks and geese, some with their little offspring waddling along behind them, he saw several people and watched some others play football on the pitch nearby. Lots of noise and shouting from some excited players, none of which phased him.

Nap time now!

9 weeks old today! We’ve nicknamed the male pup Bean while he waits for his forever home.

We’re pleased with his progress over this past week. He’s learning to settle in the crate, and sleeps in there overnight. We nip him out once in the night for a quick wee, and so far he’s been clean in his crate.

8 weeks old

Some photos of the male pup, he’s enjoying the 1-1 time now that his sisters have gone on to their new homes. He’s a happy, confident puppy who LOVES meeting new people and isn’t afraid of anything!

7 weeks old

Time has absolutely flown by! Here they are at 7 weeks old, crashed out after playtime. They’ve had loads of people over to see them (which they’ve enjoyed!), they’ve met some of our older dogs, and they’ve decided that their new favourite toy is the hoover – they love pouncing on it and chasing it around.

They’ve also had their vet check, vaccine and microchip the day before they turned 8 weeks old. All pups passed their health check and they thoroughly enjoyed the attention from the vet.

5 weeks old

Below is the pups at 5 weeks old, enjoying the sunshine! Once they’ve settled down they also had another nail trim.

3 weeks old

Pups are now 3 weeks old! Their eyes have all opened and they’re hearing well. We’ve introduced a toilet area for them and we’re pleased with how often they’re using it.

Weaning has begun with great success. We’ve started them on Natures Menu Puppy (Raw food) and will soon introduce them to kibble.
